Welcoming a new baby is one of life’s most special milestones, and those first days go by so quickly. At Samantha Polatsek Photography, I love creating newborn, maternity and family portraits that hold on to those tiny details and the real connections that mean the most.

With 11 years of experience as a newborn photographer add another five years on as a wedding and portrait photographer. Plus a few awards along the way, including Gold and being a finalist for New Zealand Newborn Photographer of the Year 2025), I know how to gently and safely work with your little one while creating portraits that feel natural, timeless and true to your family.

My Havelock North studio is a calm and welcoming space where you can simply relax while I take care of everything. I’ll guide you through the whole process, from planning your session right through to designing beautiful pieces of art for your home, portraits you’ll enjoy every day and treasure for a lifetime.
